What is this offer???

I saw this in my inbox but clicking on it makes no sense. What is/was this? I can't tell if this is the time remaining on the deal or until the deal starts. Very confusing

The countdown said $0.99, but It actually was $99 in the discription when the countdown was on 00:04:00:00 for me about 16 hours ago.

I think it was a simple mistake like the ones you see on Reverb where the person didn't account for the radix character. It happens.

Wasn’t it just on sale for $79?

I got it for $99 back in July. So it would seem like $99 is the regular price. 
 

At least that’s bought me some peace and quiet as well as so far some good upgrades.  

If you toss in getting to use Next as well it’s not been such a terrible deal. But over a 5 year period that’s $500. You can OWN  a lot of Daw’s for that amount of money. 
 

The free upgrades will make or break how this flies for me.

This is not an error. There were different tiers for the BandLab sale and indeed just a few licenses at $0.99 so that's not a typo. If you had bought in at the right time you would have got it at that price. Its important to note that this promo is a general Bandlab offer - its not directly targeting Cakewalk users.
It's very common marketing technique for companies to have holiday promo's like this. Google does volume limited promo's like this all the time as well.

The bummer is that existing members can’t get the deals. 
Example. My membership runs out in July. So that’s another 7 months. 
It would have been nice to have Paid $1 to extend that for an extra 5 months! 

But I see they are only offering to new members only.

Yep, reading through that flash sale offer way before it hit the zero - I've noticed that its bandlab products specifically.

Generally, most promo's tend to be for new customer acquisition. Also, it requires a bunch of backend work to implement promo's that extend existing customer subs , so most companies don't do it this way.

Thanks @Noel Borthwick  Back in July I was paying by the month and was denied the deal. No problem You just create a new free Bandlab log in.  
Next July I only hope a sale coincides with my time out. I’ll just switch back to my other account and if that doesn’t work create another one.
