IAMTonyEd
I am unable to export or bounce tracks when i use Spire 1.5.17 VST synth, has anyone else experienced this issue? Cakewalk gets three quarters through the bounce or export process then crashes.

What else have you tried? So I have tried to bounce individual and multiple tracks into wav tracks and I’ve tried to export the whole project . I have 9 individual tracks in the project 8 are spire synths and the 9th is cakewalk drum synth. The cakewalk drum synth won’t bounce or export either. I have opened up old projects and they bounce and export ok. I’ve tried opening a new track and laid down a few mins of spire synth on a single track and again this won’t bounce to wave or export to wav . So I’m thinking it’s spire that’s the issue , or I’ve missed a setting somewhere. have also deleted and re installed spire with no success. Oh and it’s a purchased version of spire not a demo. thanks

Cakewalk doesn’t freeze it just crashes and closes down. Apologies I’ve only been using cakewalk for a couple of months.

Click the snowflake icon in the track header

The demo bounces fine for me. Bouncing/freezing just that track with no FX enabled fails? What patch, and approximately how long is the region? Try: 1. Disabling FX if any. 2. Raising the Bounce Buffer Size to 20ms in the bounce/export dialog.

Xoo
Also check if you're using Double Precision/64 bit audio and disable it if you are. You never know but Spire may be incompatible with it.

But there could be an interraction between the two settings, and you're right to point out that some plugins may not play nice with 64-bit DPE.
