Please add feature: "Selected OUT-put series"
I use "Selected input series" feature often and I need the same feature for selecting an Output series.

Try mixing outside the box (or doing "virtual soundcheck") to a 48 channel WING, and you will find clicking/selecting consecutive 48 channel output assignments one-at-a-time seems unnecessarily tedious.

Tracks- selected tracks output. Right under your nose, but don’t feel bad. Most of these gems are totally not obvious. But once you find  it it’s very useful tool.

I need to set the track outputs in a series: Track 1 to Output 1, Track 2 to Output 2, Track 3 to Output 3 .... Track 32 to Output 32

Then that's a template you make. I have those for multi track recordings. Sure it takes a few minutes to create it but then you can use it forever.

Take note that you have to have the interface connected to create it,  and then you have to have the interface connected before you start Sonar.

This is why it is not a feature. Sonar won't create inputs and outputs for devices that don't exist.  It will default to Stereo Input 1/2 for all tracks otherwise.

Here is the scenario:
I import named wav files (32 tracks) from a client, which Sonar nicely copies the wav names into the track name field (but only when NOT using a template).
When I tried using a template (with 32 outputs pre-assigned), I had to then type all the track names... which takes even longer than assigning the outputs one-by-one.

I think the OP is wanting THIS for outputs:

To assign different audio input ports to multiple tracks
1. In the Track view, select the tracks whose audio input port you want to assign.
2. Click the small drop-down arrow in the first selected track’s Input control . image.png.015cbddf5ea46a726e99cb9c87b686ce.png
     The Input Port menu appears.
3. Choose Selected Track Input Series from the context menu.
The Assign Series of Inputs dialog box opens, which lets you choose the first input port in the series.

Figure 117. The Assign Series of Inputs dialog box.

4. Select the audio input port that should be assigned to the first selected track and click OK.

Cakewalk will assign consecutive mono input ports to the selected audio tracks, beginning with the track that was clicked in step
2. If a left or right input is selected, then mono inputs will be assigned. If a stereo input is selected, then stereo inputs will be
assigned.-pdf manual pg 314

I'd like to see this in the ADD TRACK flyout for assigning MIDI channels.

Yes!!!! It is nice that we can already assign a series of INPUTS to avoid that otherwise tedious task,
now... just need to be able to assign a series of OUTPUTS to avoid THAT tedious task

32 track recordings made with the ubiquitous X32 Mixer has been around for many years, and for years I am always assigning 32 Outputs one-by-one whenever I decide I want to mix "outside the box".
