Exactly. So Toontrack has set up some dumb consumer psychology.

"Don't buy the Day 3 deal, because the Day 7 deal could be better"

So the days go by, the money gets spent on other vendors. Other more straightforward sales.

This just in: yes, confirmed, this is a first-world problem.

You might get better deals on some things from outside vendors if you wait.

You aren't going to get better deals on the 3 day deals from Toontrack, and many of these deals you won't see from vendors.

Now if you are interested in a couple of Toontrack offerings and only have the budget for one,  it completely makes sense to wait.

Does anyone (other than @Bapu) have the Pipe Organ installed, and actually use it?

I do. It's a solid pipe organ with a lot of useful presets. It's good that the clean sound presets for each setting are included, so you can use your own ambience FX. It's not, for example, National Theater and Concert Hall organ in Taiwan, but it is definitely worth adding to your EZkeys arsenal, especially at the sale price. I already purchased it way back.

I got it cheap a few years back, I don't use it that much but it does make some pretty good sounds and I love having a play with it.

Definitely a 'nice to have' rather than a 'must buy' in my book.

I guess if you are a bit more demanding of your organ VST then there's always Organteq.

However at €269, you have to be considerably more discerning than I am.

For the absolute diehard - the husband of a friend of mine swears by Hauptwerk - a sniff at just $599 for a perp licence and add-on pack prices to melt your credit card. 😂😂

What are the thoughts of EZbass vs say MODO bass or just Orange Tree sample libraries?

Depends what your use case is, EZBass is very good if you want to compose bass parts within the plugin itself.   I liked MODO Bass when I first got it about 2 years back, but i've rarely used it in a project.  Orange Tree/Ample require more learning and better ability at playing but probably yield the better sound if you're prepared to put the time in.

For me the ease of EZBass is brilliant for songwriting due to the whole package it offers, i've come up with bass parts on my laptop and then used the fret guide to play them in on a real bass on my desktop machine.  I just continually go to it, even if it doesn't end up being the final sound.

I am in on the toontrack drums and ezkeys ecosystem but I have not delved into the EZbass side. What are the thoughts of EZbass vs say MODO bass or just Orange Tree sample libraries?

I have TT EZB and IK MODO. I dont have many expansions for EZB so can't comment on sound. The way I use EZB is I will make bass part as DI and export as a audio wave file and then apply a bass amp to it. Or I will use the midi for EZB to drive IK MODO as I tend to have more sounds and like the sounds in MODO. What I find annoying with EZB is you have to work within the plugin itself to compose the bass parts. But its annoying as I am usually in my DAW view and like to work and see the midi track in the DAW view. But to use all the fancy nuances of EZB, you need to work in the plugin itself.  I guess that makes sense. I dont know. maybe all TT products are like that.

I only just got EZBass and have only the bass pack.  So far I prefer the sound of MODO, but as people will tell you, EZBass (and EZKeys) are really all about the composition features.
