Smithers
Hi there! I've got the following issue: Removing a VSTi from an audio track causes a stop of the audio engine (dropout). Furthermore the plugin remains in the VST container, cannot be removed from the container and is still selectable on the output of a Midi channel. Clicking on the VSTi within the VST container opens the plugin although it actually should be removed. Any hints in this? Thank you Edited November 11 by Stefan Hagel
Bristol_Jonesey
Open the project in Safe Mode and enable all other plugins apart from the one you want removed.
Jeremy Oakes
Remove the vsti from the synth rack. Works as expected here. J
David Baay
12 hours ago, Smithers said: Removing a VSTi from an audio track Although it's supported to insert a synth in an audio track's FX bin for backward compatibility with projects that were created before the Synth Rack was implemented, this is not the preferred routing. You should be getting audio into the track by setting the track's Input to an output of the synth. If you insert synth by Insert > Soft Synth or by right-click in the tracks pane and choosing Insert Instrument, or by dragging an instrument from the browser to an empty part of the tracks or clips pane, Sonar can set up tracks and routing automatically. And, as Jeremy noted, you remove synths by removing them from the rack, with or without opting to remove the track as well.
