Track View will not Show wave form

Good day folks.  Long time user here.  I have a recent issue that is irratating me to no end.  When importing an audi file into track view the wave form is not visible.  What am I doing wrong?

Your other audio tracks are behaving normally? Is it possible that the imported audio is being inserted further down the timeline and it isn't visible in the area you can see?

No!  I found zooming in wil cause the wave form to appear.  This has happened on multiple occasions where I import an audio file.  Strange

Sometimes the "Picture Cache" folder (inside your main Cakewalk Projects folder) causes drawing issues that go away when that folder is purged. Without that data present, it forces Cakewalk to redraw wav forms.

Speaking of that, here is a link to a related post I made a few years ago regarding a Scott Garrigus article explaining how to empty the Cakewalk Pictures Cache automatically.  I followed the instructions and now my Picture Cache is emptied on a weekly schedule. Does it make a difference? I don't know, but it's something I don't have to think or worry about anymore.

there are previous topics about wave form display and zoom levels, one apparent workaround is to bounce the audio (which i guess forces a redraw)
