Jeff Payne
I have purchased the monthly membership and I'm ready to rock and roll with Sonar but for one thing. On one computer, the one with very few of my plugins and otherwise Steinberg products it works fine, but on the main computer it comes up but never boots correctly. The Microsoft blue mouse dial just spins and would do so, I suppose, forever but I eventually control, alt, delete, and end the process. It does come up as far as to say I am successfully registered, etc. but something is blocking the full boot of the app. Please advise. Amberwolf
Could it be scanning a large VST file/folder collection? (could also hang on a scan if a file doesn't respond as expected or crashes)

Noel Borthwick
It could be the above issue. Some other app installers are installing obsolete versions of the VS redists and clobbering the latest install that can lead to random issues. If updating to the latest redist doesn't solve the problem, capture a dump file from task manager upload and send a link to the dump. You can read this article for more info. Jeff Payne
Mine is not disappearing on startup, just spinning forever and never fully booting up.
David Baay
Two other possibilities I can think of: - Can be related to MIDI/Audio driver initialization issues; try starting Sonar with your interface offline to check that. - Remove any large Zip/Archive files from your Desktop or Cakewalk-related paths.
