You got pipes man.  I wanted a little more filth on the guitar rhythm to match the strength and energy of the late 80s hair vocals but good job on a cool rock song.  🤘🏻

thanks david!

glad you got to hear this one.

well, 80's rock is not my thing.

i go back further than that, something like HUMBLE PIE would have been more of an influence,

so the guitars are just exactly what i wanted for this particular tune.

i did clean em up a bit...

i've done em heavy before, as this song has been worked on for many years,

but this new version, has my new tele featured for rhythm tracks, and new bass and drums,

so completely revamped.

thanks again for listening!

Could be, they are panned hard left-right, but vocal level is very subjective, for example, i really don't like pop vocal mixes.

I like a listener to get more into the mix

I'll look at more mids in the voice, I don't think more treble would be.

t

ha! alright TOM! thanks for listening,

and for commenting on the utoob.

i almost never go there, i probably would not have seen your comment until thanksgiving!! LOL

this song is a combination of old tracks and new ones...

once i got my new Tele, i had to use it a bit, so i re-did the rhythm guitar parts using the tele.

the solos are all original to the first session,

this is the rig i used then:

This one badass track. The rhythm guitar track(s) are sublime, such a great sonic space.

thanks for the kind words kevin!

the electric rhythms are new, i used a tele i had built a couple of years back to re-do the rhythm parts.

it changed the vibe quite a bit, to get rid of the heavier guitar sound, for one that had a bit more clarity.

the acoustics, are all my Taylor 414, which is so big, it makes me look like a midget! LOL

Nice work on this.  I like the bass tone.

Thanks Steve!

I take my bass playing (and tone choices) very seriously,  in fact, I usually spend twice as much time working out tones and the actual swing of the tune for the bass parts than I do guitar!

Lol

Well, actually,  prolly more like THREE times more time!

I try to create the bass part with everything already cooked in, so I have very little processing to do on the mix side.

I use a combination of a Sansamp Bass DI, and my strymon iridium set up for a Marshall superlead driving a Ampeg 4x10 cab

Blend those two together into a mono sub bus.
