King Burton
For years I hit the solo button and it SOLOs the track - all else muted. Now very slightly dims other tracks. What have I done???
OutrageProductions
You probably have <Dim Solo> engaged. Look it up in the help system. The <Dim> button in the master section of the control bar is likely highlighted. Edited October 11 by OutrageProductions 1

King Burton
Sorry Outrage. I did look at that before going here + googled also. I can't find anything in the daw r/t DimSolo - in fact didn't know about it until this. Not sure what "master section of the control bar" is - maybe something I just don't use or need . . . . I may, but just don't know terminology. Thx Reg - already saw that before coming here. Would like MUTE to mute track/folder, not dim, or now does nothing Would like SOLO to solo track/folder only - not DIM thx for your thoughts King

If you can't see it, press C. If it still doesn't show, set your workspaces to None and press C again The dim Solo button is in the Mix Module (highlighted) If you can't see the Mix Module, right click a blank area of the CB. Under modules, put a tick against Mix Module Edited October 13 by Bristol_Jonesey
King Burton
Thx Bristol - found it. It is UNselected. HOWEVER, I see a button EXCLUSIVE SOLO. Is it possible that is what I want? (I didn't think about the MIX module. I have a custom workspace that generally gives me what I need.) Now MUTE does nothing. I'd love to know what I have done for this to have changed. Trying to edit clips right now is brutal.
King Burton
OK. Here 's a hint. Good news. It is only occurring in one project. No idea how this happened.
David Baay
@King Burton Check how sends from tracks to buses are set up. By default Sonar does not mute prefader sends when a track is muted, either directly or by soloing some other track. So there can be situations where soloing a track mutes other tracks but not buses that have sends from those tracks. You can change this behavior by setting LinkPFSendMute to True in Preferences > Audio > Configuration File (or editing AUD.INI manually to set LinkPFSendMute=1).
