Sorry Outrage. I did look at that before going here + googled also. I can't find anything in the daw r/t DimSolo - in fact didn't know about it until this. Not sure what

"master section of the control bar" is - maybe something I just don't use or need . .  .  .  I may, but just don't know terminology.

Thx Reg - already saw that before coming here.

Would like MUTE to mute track/folder, not dim, or now does nothing

Would like SOLO to solo track/folder only - not DIM

thx for your thoughts

The Control Bar should be visible at the top of the screen. If you can't see it, press C.

If it still doesn't show, set your workspaces to None and press C again

The dim Solo button is in the Mix Module (highlighted)

If you can't see the Mix Module, right click a blank area of the CB. Under modules, put a tick against Mix Module

Thx Bristol - found it. It is UNselected. HOWEVER, I see a button EXCLUSIVE SOLO. Is it possible that is what I want?  (I didn't think about the MIX module. I have a custom workspace that generally gives me what I need.)

Now MUTE does nothing.

I'd love to know what I have done for this to have changed. Trying to edit clips right now is brutal.

@King Burton Check how sends from tracks to buses are set up. By default Sonar does not mute prefader sends when a track is muted, either directly or by soloing some other track. So there can be situations where soloing a track mutes other tracks but not buses that have sends from those tracks. You can change this behavior by setting LinkPFSendMute to True in Preferences > Audio > Configuration File (or editing AUD.INI manually to set LinkPFSendMute=1).
