Steve Ennever
Want to load my old version of Sonar 8.5 (64bit) - attempting access plugins, well one plugin in particular - the vintage channel (VC64). However, the loading process is not accepting my serial number. There's a possibility my email address has changed since I purchased it. Anyway, is anyone aware of a way to combat this problem? Thank you... Steve E
0 Glenn Stanton
if you have access to your products on the https://legacy.cakewalk.com site, you could use the old email and the serial + registration/authorization numbers. i don't think the registration on your PC requires the old email to function in terms of responding to an email. 0 JonD
Are you sure you're entering the serial number and registration code correctly? Been awhile since I installed my Sonar 8 DVD, but IIRC those two numbers are on the attached sticker, and are both required for a successful install.
0 sjoens
Along with Glenn's post, you don't have to install S8.5 to get the plugins. Just uncheck everything except the plugins you want installed. Then rescan them for use in other DAWs. If you do install S8.5, in rare cases you may need to install and run with administrator privileges for some plugins to work.
