Recommended Posts

Hi all,

i get this message

Access to C:/Cakewalk projects/chords.cwp was denied

when i want to save a project

other than that everything is fine

And i looked pretty much everywhere to fix it myself without success

Any ideas how to fix this?

Running on windows 10, i7, 16G, Cakewalk by Bandlab newly installed

How old is your ssd/hdd?  Could be that, but would need more info.

Interesting, probably around 12 years old

i'll look into it

Yeah, its clearly some kind of write access issue, 12 years is definitely a good run on a disk. I've seen a lot of weird things happen when they start to go.

Also a great time to back up your projects if you have not already done so.

Without details on that error, sometimes simply starting and stopping the transport will allow writing. Another thing to check is that cwp itself, it may have a "read only" attribute assigned to it if it has been moved between drives in the past.

It has been moved from computer to another, i'll try that.
