asprog
Ugritone - end of an era It's with a heavy heart and a sense of profound nostalgia that we announce the end of an era: Ugritone, the sonic bastion of raw, unfiltered Metal, is closing its doors. From 2017 to 2024, we've lived, breathed, and bled Metal, striving to push the boundaries of what could be achieved in the underground music scene. But the time has come to share this sad piece of news with our dedicated community. As we prepare to close this chapter, we're embarking on a Farewell Sale that will run until the end of the year. This is your last chance to grab a piece of Ugritone history. https://ugritone.com/collections/farewell-tour

No they're a bit basic in that regard, just a bunch of midi files but work fine with my Superior Drummer 3.
Rational
Oh man... this is sad. They have some of the BEST metal drum sounds around.... And I've bought a lot of them already. Would love to get all the remaining products I don't already own from them before they're gone. I'll reach out and see. Really sad about this one. They nailed some of the best '70s metal drum tones with their Vintage Doom Drums pack and '80s metal drum tones with their Modern Doom drums pack. Spot on drum kit sounds from that era. https://ugritone.com/products/vintage-doom-drums https://ugritone.com/products/modern-doom-drums

I never liked their VSTs.
audioschmaudio
So sad to see a good business give up. Their emotional farewell words break my heart. How they struggled and burned out. ? ?? I bought their "Almighty MIDI Pack: 2017-2023 MIDI Collection" in March, where it was also available for $29, along with "Riot Drums 2" for €1.50. I haven't really used them much yet but tested them and the MIDI files are the first thing I'd pull up if I wanted to created a metal track. I like their Ugritone Drums plugin too and the Riot Drums 2 drum pack. They're great value for the money.
jeffdrawscomics
Anyone know why CbB is listed as an unsupported DAW for Ugritone products? Anyone have experience using the midi files with CbB?

jeffdrawscomics
Don’t know, but it’s on Ugritone’s website under system requirements for each product page.

If Ugritone tested their products with CbB, they should know if they implemented some specific methods that don't work with CbB. (I can't imagine they didn't test CbB.) Just a guess: Since you mention midi files, maybe all of their files use some specific midi commands that cause an issue. 1 minute ago, audioschmaudio said: How can MIDI files be incompatible with a DAW?! ? jude77
I'm not a metal guy myself, but I always hate to see one of the little guys go under. I wish them the very best for whatever they do next.
