Today a man knocked on my door and asked for a small donation towards the local swimming pool, so I gave him a glass of water.

I was leaving Jiffy Lube last month and two of the employees had adjourned to the field next door to have a smoke.  I told them they were out standing in their field.  One guy seemed happy and said "Wow, thanks!" then turned to ask why the second guy was laughing.  ?

As a musician, Monday is usually my first day off of the week, technically my weekend.

'Tis why my friend's relatively new band is called Waiting For Monday (August is the guitarist and backup singer pictured on the right - he's also the one who plays as Tommy Shaw in Dennis DeYoung's band).
