I think they ditched upgrades from any version but the previous one, when they released v12. Anyways, it's a matter of taste but I really like its simplicity. The whole concept is that the audio signal chain goes from the left to the right, no more wondering where is the pre or post fader for example (yes I am a simple hobbyist)! There is a small learning curve because there is no other DAW like that but I think nothing is missing from Sonar ( I love the chord track). And last versions became more and more stable... ?
