I wrote this DAW off because there is no such thing as a loyalty upgrade.

I think they ditched upgrades from any version but the previous one, when they released v12.

If they don't have an upgrade even from V12 to V13, that would be stupid

Not only that, but they kept changing the product bundles, so you could not upgrade based on what you previous bought (e.g. I bought Tracktion Waveform 9 Ultimate, then the stopped have an Ultimate bundle) So that was the end of my Tracktion journey.

They also say you can contact support for custom upgrade pricing. I wonder what sort of discounts they would give you if you already have Biotek 2.

I think I might have to skip since I hopped on the Cubase train like some others on this forum. Choo choo.

(Plus I never kinda clicked with Waveform)

So your journey lost traction then?

What is good about it? How doess it handle on OS X silicon?

Sorry, I'm on Windows 10...
Anyways, it's a matter of taste but I really like its simplicity.
The whole concept is that the audio signal chain goes from the left to the right, no more wondering where is the pre or post fader for example (yes I am a simple hobbyist)!
There is a small learning curve because there is no other DAW like that but I think nothing is missing from Sonar ( I love the chord track).
And last versions became more and more stable... ?

There is a demo version.

I asked them about it and seems like you don't get any benefit from owning BioTek 2.

Thanks for checking. Save me a message.

Might be a case of "which customer support rep you get" -roulette.
