George gives me hope. He'll be 80 next week, still a one-of-a-kind talent and sharp as a tack. He relates detailed anecdotes beginning from when he started out on ukulele at the age of 7, remembering the names of every mentor and every great player he ever met, as well as the melodies of the first thing he heard each of them play.

Tells you he didn't do a lot of certain things that usually come with the "famous guitarist" lifestyle. ?
