scanning for hours

i just re-installed bandlab cakewalk and i did vst scan.its  on scanning    openlg32sw.dll.do i need that dll or how to remove more on to a regular scan.?thanks in advance.jack c

Are you sure your spelling is correct? 

opengl32sw.dll is a graphic routine and should not be in the VST2 scan path.

Either rename it with .OLD extension or remove it to a different location and test again.

Or make sure your VST paths don't include folders that don't contain VSTs, like \Windows.

I hope he's not scanning the entire C:\ drive
