satya
Now stop buying plugins You input an audio sample, and it outputs a Vital preset file. It's that simple Said to be free alternative to synplant 2 https://micromusic.tech/ Edited December 2, 2023 by satya 4
PavlovsCat
Wow. This is quite nice. The developer is very generous to give it away. He appears to be a teenager, a talented young man. Very cool. Great find, satya!
audioschmaudio
Has anyone tried it yet? Are the results good? If yes, it's crazy to give it away for free. It'd be worth a thousand soundbanks.

TracingArcs
That looks interesting ! Only concern is if that's the same PC he compiled this on he has visited websites his mum would not approve of.
Kiloteq
It looks very interesting. It made me want to dig up my favorite songs and test them in different ways.?
audioschmaudio
It didn't really work for me. When I started the program I got some error messages: It would still launch the program and allow me to convert my wav files but the resulting presets didn't sound like the wav files at all. Kiloteq
It sounds like you are getting an error for the Python library version. You may be able to use it by replacing it with the specified version.
Niky Serrano
Yes @Kiloteq @audioschmaudio you should downgrade the numpy python version that you have installed on your computer It should be between 1.18.5 and 1.25.2 version This should be a fine version: https://numpy.org/doc/stable/release/1.25.2-notes.html Here the releases: https://numpy.org/news/#releases Let us know if it works Edited December 2, 2023 by Niky Serrano 1
audioschmaudio
Yes, I read the error message. The thing is: I'm not going to do that. Because I'm currently learning to program in Python and I want to keep the latest version. He should have compiled it so that it runs on any environment. But of course, you can't complain when it's free. If it runs without problems on your machines, let us know if the results are good.
e-cue
I do enjoy me some Synplant2.
Kiloteq
It is difficult to confirm with one, but we confirmed that generating many in a setting produces several sounds that are close to the original material. It is very interesting, and I am now interested in Synplant2 as well.

I get this same error, and I think it's caused by the libraries that have been packaged with the app (in the _internal folder). Out of curiosity, I tried generating a preset using a cello VI and the result didn't resemble a cello in any way.

Maker Moose
Hey! I'm one of the devs on the MicroMusic project. We're just a bunch of students so, admittedly our product isn't perfect yet but we're working on improving it every day so stay tuned for updates. Two days ago we released a new version that should address the issue you had @audioschmaudio The problem was we were assuming the input was a specific type of WAV file. Feel free to join our Discord server to help us make improvements and stay up to date with the latest changes: https://discord.gg/fqkWSJzte6 Thanks for your interest! 8 5

Thank you so much @Maker Moose Let me give you a recommendation about the distribution of the product and talk this internally with the team Avoid the public use of 1.1 Hotfix 1, 11. Hotfix 2 and so on. For the internal team could be fine, but no when you are publishing a new release Use instead 1.1.1, 1.2 or other Use Hotfix in the last part of the version could be confusing. Anyway, congrats for the App and thanks for the fix applied!

audioschmaudio
No errors for me this time. I tried two wav files. One of the generated presets sounded kinda close, the other not so much.
