Andrés Campos Aguilar
When I import a midi 1 file into Cakewalk each track is assigned to Cakewalk TTS-1. If I want to replace the instrument of a midi track, Cakewalk change all the tracks to that instrument. Is it possible to change a single track instrument and that the others continue with TTS-1? Mánibranðr Studios
You'll have to manually add the second synth to the synth rack, create both MIDI and Audio tracks with it. Then shift-drag the MIDI clips onto the newly created MIDI track(s). You can safely delete the now-empty MIDI track. mark skinner
Sometimes I copy a midi track and send it to a different synth , playing the same notes , but with a different type instrument. You can duplicate a midi track and send it anywhere you want .
scook
Or add the new synth with just its audio track(s) and route the existing MIDI track(s) to the new synth. This is most easily done with insert methods that use the Insert Soft Synth Options dialog which is every method mentioned here except the Add Track menu. The Insert Soft Synth Options dialog is also used when dragging a synth from the plug-in browser.
