hockeyjx Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Probably blasphemy to many, but I think 90125 is the best Yes album all the way through. Particularly the vocals on Leave It. Vocals start shortly after the 2 minute mark. 1

It introduced us to Yes' music, and we went on to become major fans. Love this album, have listened to it end to end maybe a million times, and hope to do so a million more before I shuffle off... 2

That being said, I just got Rush a few years ago, and Genesis last month, so, all hope isn't lost. And obviously, Owner of a Lonely Heart was such a massive hit that does bring back fond memories. Ah, 6th grade... I seem to remember that it sounded quite good in terms of production. I may have to check it out again. 1

I've been listening to Nursery Cryme the most, but I've added Fox Trot to the rotation. I'll be adding Selling England and The Lamb gradually. I feel the albums are worth taking the time. Grem Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 When you start checking Yes out try "The Yes Album" This was the album that broke them out. Got them attention. IF this album didn't sell ... Bill Buford really shines on this album. 2

husker Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 Love Yes. I "discovered" them in the early 90s in college. I really got into Close to the Edge, Awaken, etc. Given what was happening in music, I couldn't have been less cool with my music choices. But speakin of blasphemy, I'll leave this here. Talk is, to me, their most underappreciated album. Released in the mid 90s, it was the wrong album at the wrong time. But, it ends with this banger - Endless Dream. 2
