GTsongwriter
I've got BBC Symphony Orchestra that seems to have no settings on disabling the panning they instilled into the samples they created. Yes you can manually pan, but I'd rather have a plugin force it to center instead of me guessing if I'm center. X-53mph
Can you be a bit clearer? Do you want a vst in the FX bus or something that can resample the sample? To be honest, it would be simpler just to repan it yourself.

It will collapse a stereo image but something like Boz Mongoose will let you collapse the stereo image at any frequency cut off to be mono - thus pushing the "pan" to center. instead you might want to test this and see if it does what you want: https://www.meldaproduction.com/MAutoStereoFix No computer can judge the stereo field better than your ears. With MAutoStereoFix you can easily put on your best headphones and listen to individual channels, swap left and right, check the mid... and create a perfect centered stereo field everyone will envy you. Jim Roseberry
If you just want to "collapse" the stereo image, Cakewalk's "Channel Tools" plugin (included with CbB) will do that.

I didn't even think about Melda until you mentioned them. Then I googled them and what I read looking for... they have a free plugin called MUtility that allows you to collapse stereo to mono by enabling coder, then Left+Right -> Mono. https://www.meldaproduction.com/MUtility https://vi-control.net/community/threads/plugin-for-collapsing-stereo-to-mono.129159/post-5169703 I still would like to figure out how Cakewalk would do this so I don't have to use a plugin. With the result of mono: My controls look different: Although, with the help pop-up .. it says " interleave = stereo" and press that, it says " interleave = mono" If I turn on track mono, instead of using MUtility, I have to turn down the input volume by -8.0 using TUBE on the PRE Prochannel... some reason turning interleave into mono increases track volume. The native plugins will probably do better than the non-native plugins. So I'll use interleave mono instead of the other way!

I usually use my own custom theme but didn't want to confuse matters with a screen shot of that.
audioschmaudio
ADSR Sounds currently has Yum Audio's Spread Light free with every purchase. It's being advertised as a stereo widener plugin but it can also do the opposite.

Fix off-centred stereo field recordings, dynamically centre vocal artists or musicians that moved around the stage or centre hard directional effects like drive-bys and stereo whooshes. RECENTER makes tedious panning automation obsolete so you can focus on your creative flow. Full description/hype: https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/27-Stereo-Width/7980-RECENTER?a_aid=61d71088e0f85 MSRP is $89 but you might be able to pick it up cheaper at a reseller. IIRC last BF it was going for about 50% off. https://musicsoftwaredeals.com/?jsf=jet-engine:main&_s=ReCenter&meta=filter-tag:active You can download a free trial here: https://www.boomlibrary.com/sound-effects/recenter/#1619793640964-091f77b1-c34b From what I recall testing it - it's a bit overhyped but it worked. Like always YMMV. Edited October 5, 2023 by TheSteven
