The questions that rummage through whatever is left of my mind at times! Personally I'm more interested in hearing about the existing functionality they've broke than the new features they've added. And since it generally takes a few weeks to find all the new bugs, I'm going to hold-off for a while before even thinking about upgrading. Of particular importance in this release is whether we'll still be able to use VST2 plugins. I still use some that I don't want to give up, so it may be a very long time before I move on from v12. Also, v12 was painful for a long time and I don't want to go through that again now that I finally have things working relatively well and am proficient with my numerous work-arounds. My long-term goal is to switch to Studio One, but they're not quite there yet. Hopefully they will be soon.

audioschmaudio
I don't see any information about version 13 on the Steinberg site. ? Edit: Okay, I've now read on the other forum that Steinberg have removed the announcement from their site. For whatever reason. TheSteven
Julius II and Michelangelo, on his work on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel: Pope Julius II : When will you make an end? Michelangelo : When I am finished! It'll be ready when it's done, regardless of how much you want it now. In the meantime if there is a killer sale on an upgrade buy it and sit on it. Steinberg licenses become effective upon registration not when purchased.

Cookie Jarvis
I use a lot of software...Cubase, Nuendo, Samplitude, Sound Forge, Wavelab, etc. and I've only encountered a single bug yet I see some people encounter bugs with absolutely every piece of software under the sun! The bug I ran across was in the last few releases of Sonar and every release of Cakewalk...the software would refuse to see my soundcard and I would have to delete a file and then setup my card like brand new...every time I opened the app! This was with a PCI card(Echo Layla 3G) in Windows 7 Pro so not a USB thing. I'm using a TB3 interface now(Presonus Quantum 2626) in Win 11 Pro and mostly using Nuendo with no problems. My DAW is TB4 but I couldn't find a good affordable interface so I went TB3 Bill
