GTsongwriter
There's like thousands and thousands of places selling acoustic panels. I want to be able to deafen any outside noise from entering my home studio room and any music to escape this room. If you have experience in this area, your knowledge will be much appreciated! I don't have that much experience, although I have built my own rudimentory acoustic panels for my home studio, but the problem that you are trying to resolve is not done using acoustic panels. Acoustic panels help in removing echo in a room and achieve a better frequency response. But what you are looking for is sound isolation or soundproofing, which is achieved using different means. For your application, you probably need both since you will be recording and mixing in that room. Of course acoustic panels will offer some minimal soundproofing since they reduce echo and add some mass to the wall. But that is minimal. Here is a little info on soundproofing on YouTube. Byron Dickens
Acoustic panels are NOT soundproofing. Actual soundproofing is a little completely different thing and way more expensive.
