chuckebaby Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 If you go to "Programs and features in windows it will show you the last downloads of the redistributables. Grab the latest one from Microsoft only and to coincide with your OS type/64 bit. <- you are 64 bit correct ? 1
chuckebaby Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 You got that from here ? https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=48145 1
Mcu pro Posted September 6, 2019 Author Posted September 6, 2019 I uninstalled it and no crashes yet all day? Do I need redristubles for anything else?
Mcu pro Posted September 7, 2019 Author Posted September 7, 2019 I think I'm getting confused can we start from the beginning?
msmcleod Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Do not uninstall those - they are not the Microsoft Visual Studio redistributables, they're Intel's ones. The Microsoft ones look like this: When you go to uninstall, it usually gives you the option to "Repair" - repairing normally fixes things. If not, just uninstall them and download them again from Microsoft's website. 1
Mcu pro Posted September 7, 2019 Author Posted September 7, 2019 I uninstalled it and reinstalled it? Whew!! its still crashing? Would uninstalling Cakewalk and reinstalling it help?
msmcleod Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 @Mcu pro - I've PM'd you to see if this can be resolved.
Mcu pro Posted January 8, 2020 Author Posted January 8, 2020 Can you control plugins in cakewalk though Mcu pro?
John Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 No, though it could if one is willing to write the dll to do it. Mackie had a C4 version that did that.

The Synth rack is supported as of 2012.11. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/8792-20191112-feature-overview-updated-06-jan-2020/&tab=comments#comment-78992 You can use my C4Mapper utility as an alternative to editing the .ini file: http://msmcleod.co.uk/cakewalk/C4Mapper.zip 1

BTW is it also possible select "related" synth for current track? I am still using not always working "hack" for that in AZ Controller (which it turn is based on bug in instrument tracks...). 1

Yes, this is something I'd like to implement at some point, but it needs changes on the Cakewalk side to support it. The SynthRack was fairly simple to implement as it was already supported in the API for the VS700.
