Matt Rayner Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 What? Oh man. I loved that guy. I lived in Germany for a few years in the 80's. There was nothing English language anywhere. Just radio BBC World Service, Radio FREE Europe, and an occasional copy of the Herald Tribune. BUT.. for some reason, I inherited a copy of Peewee's Big Adventure IN ENGLISH on video and was given a TV and a VCR. Mates. I loved that movie. It gave me great hope and happiness in bad times. 2

craigb Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 (edited) Excellent way to handle the situation though! Edited July 31, 2023 by craigb
PhonoBrainer Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 (edited) If that's how he got his cancer, I'm doomed. RIP to a great character. Now he can spend eternity with Large Marge. Edited July 31, 2023 by PhonoBrainer 1
user905133 Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 (edited) I saw this earlier and had no idea you were talking about Paul Reubens. I guess that's testimony to the brilliance of his comedian-as-character ("always on") persona. I remember seeing the original stage show version of Pee Wee's Playhouse (probably on HBO or Showtime or something like that) long before the kids morning TV show and thought it was a brilliant spoof of children's TV. I recall seeing him as a comic actor (not as Pee Wee) on sitcoms early on (Mork and Mindy IIRC) and more recently on TV game shows and talk show. Edited August 1, 2023 by User 905133 1
