Run the SAA to update

After not seeing an update in the SAA yesterday I read elsewhere that the updates (presumably mainly the addition of the piano) are being rolled out over next week or so.

I ran into an issue with the VST3 version not running after update, but I fixed the problem and it now works. The problem was that it created a folder called ".vst3" at the end of the name so Cakewalk assumed the folder was the file and it couldn't load it. So the solution is to rename the folder without ".vst3" at the end of the name, then it will work. 

Just wanted to share in case someone has the same problem and doesn't know what to do.

I just ran into that same problem last night. Your solution was obvious to me as well as soon as I examined the file path. I thought it was just me.

Thanks! Did they do all the necessary tests, before rolling out any new version, only for MacOS??? ?

I had to locate then repair. All good now.

They also updated the entry level Discover edition. I just updated that. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks. I had about 10 folders with a .vst3 ending the folder name in my Common Files/VST3 folder. Renamed them all. We'll see if that blows anything up.

Mine has just landed - had to amend the folder name as described by @Hillmy above. Thanks for pointing that out! Presumably they will fix this - I'm surprised they haven't already!
