Notes_Norton Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 God Bless The Child – Blood Sweat & Tears The Billie Holiday version is nice, but I like this one better. 3 1
Notes_Norton Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 On Broadway – George Benson (IMHO better than the original Drifters version, which I also like) 3

craigb Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 That whole Ronnie Scotts concert was awesome! I'm not certain, but I think that's the concert that introduced everyone to Tal. I love how Jeff just watches her in wonder. ? I hope this is a good playlist (there were a few to choose from!): 2
user905133 Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Last Night I Had A Dream - Rocking Bluesy Cover of a Randy Newman tune. (I like both renditions!) 2

Not only is the music great, but the camera knows which of Jeff's hands to do a close-up on, when he is doing something super-human on the guitar. Jeff was probably the most technically proficient guitarist in rock and roll history. And the music is excellent. If you can find the DVD, rent it, as the extras are nice too. If I remember correctly, I think Jeff said that when Tal entered the studio, he thought she was someone's daughter. She is a class act, and at the time of that video, she was too young an cute to play bass so maturely. Tons of talent in that gal. Notes ♫ 1
Notes_Norton Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Highway 61 Revisited - Bob Dylan And the Johnny Winter cover Many Bob Dylan covers are better than the original. IMO, Bob was a better songwriter than a singer. And I really, really like the Johnny Winter take on this song. Notes ♫ 1 1

Notes ♫ I owned the DVD and now you have me wondering if I still have it! All my concert DVD's are stored in a bin out in the garage. While I've gotten rid of most of my old life, I still have many of the concert DVD's I used to watch... I'll have to go look for it (and see if I can record it to my computer!).
Notes_Norton Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 First recording of Kristofferson's song Me And Bobby McGee – Roger Miller And Janis Joplin's version 3
Notes_Norton Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 Ain't nothin' wrong with Fleetwood Mac's Black Magic Woman (Peter Green) But I like Santana's version better 2
