From the SDA

nothing here

SDA has got to be one of the worst/most useless downloaders of any of the big developers.

We still have:

Steinberg Download Assistant

Steinberg Activation Manager

Elicencer manager

Steinberg Library Assistant

none of which actually seem to talk to each other - and NO way to see if any updates are available.

The SDA shows when Updates are available right at the top.  A "tab" appears that says "Updates" when
they become available

interesting - it's never done that on mine.  My SDA seems to have zero knowledge of what is installed.  The library manager knows and has a list, including version numbers...but it seems to be keeping that secret from my SDA :D

Updated Components:

  • Padshop 2 - v2.2.0 (Instrument)
  • Content Set Patches
  • Granular Guitars
  • MPE Sounds Padshop
  • Padshop 2 (Content)
  • Padshop (Factory Content)
  • Zero Gravity

Padshop 2.2.0 Version History:

Quote
  • Content Browsing:  Padshop 2.2.0 now offers a new built-in Steinberg MediaBay Load and Save dialog supporting also non-Cubase hosts.
  • MAC-only:  Fixed an issue on Apple Silicon
  • Import/Export:  The "Allow any Preset location" option has been removed from the Import/Export menu.  Saving and Loading is now possible via the "File System" tab of the Save/Load dialogs.
  • PC-only:  Fixed crash when saving a program with "Controlled Folder Access" enabled on Windows.
  • General:  Fixed crash when using Samples from Sequel content.

Library Files likely updated to work better with the new MediaBay browser system. (???)

This update could be because of one recent bug involving HalionSE 3 installing Flux on all versions of Cubase, even though it's only available in Elements and Pro.

Sonic SE 3 is out of development and unsupported. It was replaced by Sonic 7.

Sonic 7 is free. Its the default for all SKUs of Cubase and Dorico.

Flux was not updated.
