Crazy is that i don't really feel dissonances , more like its own dynamic tuning , brilliant !!
Notes_Norton
One good Monk deserves another. We used to play this a lot when I was in a Sunday Afternoon Jazz Band in Vero Beach FL. Well You Needn't - Thelonious Monk

Notes_Norton
Five Guys Named Moe - Louis Jordan and his Tympany Five Louis Jordan music always makes me smile. Louis usually plays alto sax, this is the first UTube I've seen with him playing tenor. The song is using "Rhythm Changes" like so many others of the era originated by George Gershwin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhythm_changes

Notes_Norton
One nice thing about doing fake disks for Band-in-a-Box is making discoveries. Mrs. Notes and I are doing a Jazz Book, and we were looking for diffrent ways people have done "Puttin' On The Ritz" and came across this gem by Gunhild Carling. One of the most energetic female trombonist/singers I've ever seen.

Kurre
She has a good voice. He is good with the guitar. Doublechecking his soloperformence gives that he loses a bit of focus when he's singing at the same time. That acoustic show is good but not sticking out in any way. Unfortunately it reveals how repetitive her voice expressions is. I love to watch YT videos from the Voice. There's hundred thousends of people having extremely good voices. Only very few will be remembered. ? But all that matter of course is that we enjoy the music whether we listen or play. ?
User 905133
Thanks for the link to the Dylan Birthday video. All sorts of styles--some artists who paid tribute by emulating different aspects of Dylan's performance, some artists who re-made the songs in their own performance styles, and various combinations of the two. Until I saw his contribution to the birthday event / fundraiser, I totally forgot about Bill Frisell. Kurre
This Creedence song is almost never played on radio or on any top list. But i like it the most. The rythm is hypnotic. ? Creedence Clearwater Revival - Keep On Chooglin

Kurre
So, three kids thrown together for a song...and suddenly it works so good that it rivals the original. (Evanescence.) It's that moment most musicians long for when it all "fits". Also thumbs up for the studio musicians on this.
