I was so much listening to this one as ... well ... er ... um ...

I think you'll know why I posted this one. ;)

Let's see whether this one survives or not.

I'll choose not to help. ?

This one looks great in slow-mo too!

Another of my favorite rock drummers, John Bonham

(in no particular order, and each one for different reasons: Bernard 'Pretty' Purdy, Hal Blaine, Ginger Baker, John Bonham, & Neil Peart)

I learn a lot by listening and analyzing what they do.

Not a fan of Terry Bozio? ?

Not a fan, but do appreciate his work. Haven't heard too much of his playing since Zappa. I guess I need to go exploring.

Not a fan of the 5 that I mentioned above either. I just like their work and in my current writing of BiaB styles, I'm learning from their recorded work.

It's difficult to pick favorites when there are so many to choose from.

I, too, know of him from his work with Zappa, but over the past few years I have gone on some Bozio video-watching binges.  His playing styles and massive "kits" are not for everyone, but you might enjoy them. Also, not sure if you were a fan of Ed Mann, but I have also binge-watched/listened to the Z3 featuring Ed Mann. Again, not for everyone.

Today is the 250th Anniversary of Beethoven's baptism. There is no record of his birth, but it was probably on the 16th according to the custom of the day.

So to celebrate, my two favorites Beethoven Symphonies #4 and #7. Both conducted by George Szell.

I know most people seem to like #5 and #9 the best. I think #5 has a great first movement and then pedestrian and #9 is IMO pretty harmonically dull. Great in their day as they broke ice, but I think 4 & 7 are the ones that stood up to the test of time.
