But then there where more when i was expecting it to end. ? I'm obviously damaged by modern times instant satisfaction and lack of patience. Sorrryy... There is more than one right way to enjoy music. I think "classical" is an acquired taste. I played it in school when I was young, but blues and rock n roll were more fun. I still liked classical but didn't listen. Then I got into a jazz for recreational listening. Eventually went back to classics. I still enjoy just about anything but Bagpipes and Rap, and listen to a variety, but when it comes to serious listening, a nice symphony does it for me. But it's not for everyone, and that's OK. Neither is rap or bagpipe music. ;)

Wibbles
As part of their Drift project (more of which later) Underworld spent two days in the studio with Australian avant-garde jazz trio The Necks. Recorded in a single take, a sort of jazz/dance 4/4 improvisation ... love the trippy Hammond ...

Notes_Norton
I'm no Barbra Streisand fan but I'm not anti-Barbra either. This is an early work by her, it's passionate, nuanced, and the arrangement behind her is terrific. Her phrasing, emotional take represents the lyrics to the song. She brought it to a nice climax, you can hear the sexual excitement one touch incited. She nailed it on this one. Notes_Norton
Another performance that really sells the lyrics of the song. I think of Tom Jones as the UK's Elvis Presley. A great natural singer and a hit with the girls. Ben E King did a very good job on this song, Tom Jones did a great job on this song. Notes_Norton
The musicianship on this album is awesome. One of the instruments I play is drums, and I am always impressed by Bernard Purdy's playing. He sets up a great groove, supports the song incredibly well, uses tasty fills, and never gets in the way of the song. So today I'm listening mostly for the drums. I've learned a lot listening to Pretty Purdy. The Royal Scam - Steely Dan Edited December 6, 2020 by Notes_Norton
