... which leads me on to something rather special. Prior to releasing Blood Music, Chapterhouse asked ambient house/dance production duo, Global Communications, to remix the album. Very little of the original survived ...

I can't believe I listened (and occasionally watched) that whole thing!

I wonder what those guys with the dainty, neon green fluff balls were thinking... ("Well, now I know Mom lied!  These are definitely NOT real drums!!!") ?

Symphony #4 - Sergei Prokofiev

Prokofiev waited until Stalin died before releasing this. He hid it away, and wrote Symphony #5 to please Stalin. Sergei's more modern music was hated by Stalin so much, that he was warned and afraid he was going to be sent to Siberia to be worked to death. In fact he was so sure, he kept a packed suitcase by the door in case they came in the middle of the night for him.

After Stalin died, he premiered #4

I think #4 is a grand piece of art. The more times I listen to it, the more nuances and clever theme variations get recognized by me. It keeps getting better and better.
