Ain't That A Bitch - Johnny "Guitar" Watson

1970s funk at it's finest, and Mr. Watson could sing and play guitar well - and with a sense of humor.

Amazing band, cool setting.  First keyboard I've seen with a starter handle :)

The lab bands at UNT are pretty to get into. I was in the 3 O'clock  for awhile. Lots of players would get together and form their own jam groups which is what Snark Puppy grew out of. I'm so glad they keep it going!

Thanks for posting this Zinc!

This has got to be one of the best recordings (subject to YouTube's limitations) of Joy Division live that exists:

There is a FLAC version of this out there.

It is easily found with Google.

Is 'starter handle' the technical name for a keyboard with a whammy bar? :P

Plot twist:  That's not a Golden Throat pipe the one keyboard player is using, it's actually providing him with Nitrous Oxide.  ?

Enjoying this today. ?

I find it interesting that Ian really isn't that great of a singer, yet he seems to be exactly what was needed.  I think he gives the rest of us who can't sing hope.

(I'll ignore the joke that, after he died, they discovered he was well hung... ?)

The best singers aren't always the best of singers. And there's millions of people who can sing but have nothing to sing about.
