dubdisciple Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) Dave's articles always offer good balance of valid concerns that attempt to be objective Edited June 9, 2023 by dubdisciple
Fleer Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Interesting alternative views on UVI’s Augmented Orchestra in this one.
LAGinz Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 I thought their Studio One 6 review was interesting. They tried to say in a very nice way that 6 doesn’t really have any breakthrough features ….yet.
TheSteven Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 (edited) Looks like http://soundbytesmag.net/ is now offline. @bitflipper is this an oversight or has SoundBytesMag left this realm and sailed over the horizon? Edited August 11, 2023 by TheSteven 2
bitflipper Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 It might be dead, or it might not. I don't know. Our editor, David Baer, has retired and doesn't want to do it anymore. To be honest, his job was a chore that I wouldn't have wanted. Whether somebody steps up to take on his role remains to be seen. For myself, I stopped writing for them a few months ago upon realizing that plugins and sample libraries just don't excite me anymore. I've got so many! It was nice getting freebies, but at some point (talking to you, bapu) you really do have enough.

But I completely understand how much work it could be. I had a publication of my own I shut down at the height of its success to prioritize my family. I appreciate the work you and the others did (I think my friend Jay Asher was a contributor, right?) . It was a good publication. Edited August 12, 2023 by PavlovsCat
