Along Comes Mary — Association

We opened for them in concert when "Cherish" was #1 on Billboard. Great vocals, adequate instrumentals. Nice people.

A few years later, we opened for them in a big Holiday Inn show-club. Different members, vocals not quite as good, better musicians though. 

The record company owned the name, part of their sign-up contract, and could hire, fire members and run more than one band on tour with the same name. The labels were evil back then.
