Separating a Mixer's Stereo Channels

Mixer has stereo channels with separate left and right inputs.

When left input is also (Mono), it pans both left and right when right jack is empty.

Right side only pans right when left jack is empty.

If you want the left jack to behave the same way, put a blank or dead plug in the right jack.

Or is there another way to fool it?
