Max Arwood
I would like to see the freeze and archive buttons on buses in the console view. It would be nice to be able to freeze sections/groups of instruments. Archive would be great too. Both of these could help projects that are loaded with synths and plugins. scook
This is a pretty big change to the DAWs architecture. Buses do not store clip data. For now, If you wish to sum audio and store the result in something like a bus consider aux tracks.
Max Arwood
I thought an aux could be used like a bus but then frozen. Then you could just archive the tracks/folders that are associated with those auxes. I would miss the console view. Wow what if structurely the buses could be replaced with auxes. Light Grenade
Yeah, you can freeze aux tracks. You can either blanket replace busses with aux tracks and implement a record/archive/freezing workflow, or you can send your busses to another track that then points to your mix bus. For example, collect all of your drum tracks and effects in a bus called 'Drum Master' and send this to an aux track called 'Drums print'. You can then record this aux track and disable the effects chain on 'Drum Master' and mute it. This is slightly quicker than freezing the aux. Idea, it would be nice if everything that sent to an aux track automatically archived once that aux track was frozen.
