KSband Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Another good one. Like those backing vocals. 1
Guest Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Nice oompah groove Keith - always a good start in my book. BGVs are just great - made me smile and kudos for getting 'misdemeanour' into a lyric - extra points for that. ? Andy

Bajan Blue Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Hi Keith - really good track and I like the lyrics Thought the backing vocals were excellent cool stuff Nigel 1
freddy j Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 A toe tapper indeed. I echo the above kudos on the BGV's but also on the lead vocal. Oh ya, lyrics also. Great work!! 1

PhonoBrainer Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Lots to like here, but particularly ther BGV's, sweetly hard panned? Lovely chorus effects? Care to dish the secrets of the smoooooth bgv?? As advertised, toes were tapping. And I loved the mix, nothing poked up and out of place. The lead vocal was clean and crisp without being crispy. Well done! cheers, -Tom 1
Paul Bush Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Hi Keith those backing vocals really pop ,great song 1

No secret Tom, I sing each part twice and pan one left and the other right, that way I figure they won't clutter up the centre where the lead vocal is, plus is gives (me) a nice sensation in the old lug-holes. There's no chorus effect, just a bit of EQ to take some lower frequencies off.

Your song had a bit of a Billy Ocean groove going on to my ears. Catchy as heck, lovely production, well sung and played, great stuff. 1

I've had three played so far, but there's about another 15 that they didn't like enough, so keep plugging away.
