Bassfaceus Posted February 8, 2023 Share Posted February 8, 2023 Hello all... i am in the process of migrating to a new computer and in the process also upgrading some plug ins ..i am currently stuck trying to find a clip that has an FX on it which needs the upgrade How do i go about locating a clip that has an fx on it.. i know there is a very small script thats says FX in the top right corner but so far ive gone thru evry clip in the project but cant find it. ive used projectscope that doesnt help me. Bassfaceus Posted February 8, 2023 Author Share Posted February 8, 2023 wow 40 views and and no response. maybe i havent made myself understood. in the process of migrating i have the new updated vst's on the new computer. when i run a cake wrk file it comes up with the missing plugins no problem i can see them in the FX bin... But the problem is that there are some of these missing plugins running as clip FX... and i have tried evreything i know to find them but cant. Does anybody have any suggestions? If clicking on the "FX" letters doesn't display a list of the FX applied to that clip there must be something wrong with the clip. I don't know how to fix that. RBH Posted February 9, 2023 Share Posted February 9, 2023 (edited) I'm curious what would happen if you select all and bounce to clip. ( is that not an option? ) Would that render and dismiss the FX ? or what kind of loss would you in-cure if you simply migrated the track ? My advice would be to render each track - but that's just my workflow routine. I think the worst that could happen is that the plug-in wouldn't be found and you might get a dialogue that it is missing, but the track should hopefully still play. Approach things in an orderly, logical and systematic manner and document them as you go along.
