Lullaby - The Cure (cover & video)

A cover of Lullaby I recorded in my bedroom (in Cakewalk, natch), in collaboration with two vocalists who live thousands of miles from me.

Features an extended guitar solo, because why wouldn't it?

Complete with a creepy video. NOT for arachnophobes!

Not familiar with the original tune, but his sounds good to me. I just can't make the connection between Lullaby and the spider theme. Nevertheless, cool video. I love watching spiders. I'd never touch one, but I do like watching them. The guitar solo was cool too. I also liked the drum track.

The Cure are my joint favorite Band (with Julian Cope and Led Zeppelin!)

This is a great cover - love the slightly heavier Guitars

Nice JB, I am not familiar with the Cure at all.

Nice guitar work and sounds.

I did notice the backing vocals too, but can't make a comparison to the original.

Nice mix and really like the guitar, if I may repeat myself.

Thanks. To be fair, I'd never heard the song either, before the singer said "I want to do this obscure Cure song..."

Your talent is immense, and your ability to spot-on cover is even more so. Love those hard panned guitars with that nice crisp tone.

The entire video was assembled from free stock footage, so I had to work with what I coukd find.

Yeah, funny thing. It’d been up on SoundCloud for a year and a half, and then out of the blue it was hit with a copyright strike and removed. “Cover” is not “fair use”, so there’s no defense beyond “don’t do covers”. Which is all I do.
