Is it possible to create a virtual band?

I play keyboard with midi files. Is it possible to create a virtual band with 16 channels under vst kontakt? I want every time I run sonar daw the virtual band will be the default and a midi file will automatically load into the virtual band, Is there another vst that can be a virtual band.

If there is no MIDI output device enabled in CbB Preferences > MIDI > Devices, when opening MIDI files, the DAW will automatically add and setup TTS-1 to play the file.

There is no way to substitute a different synth for this behavior.

One can replace any plug-in(s) for TTS-1 after the project is open.

 

Alternately consider creating playlists of the rendered MIDI files and play along with them.

You could also use a template with your Kontakt setup the way you want it for new files. However, this will not load automatically if you click on a midi file. You would have to open it manually and then add your midi file to the setup midi track.
