Nope!  I've never smoked anything (except using a BBQ! ?)

Now, using hallucinogens to free the mind and be creative is another story. ????

I don't indulge but I am for anything that will spare me the smell when people around me do indulge. (I am not judging at all, by the way. It's just not for me.)

When I was a teenager, we used to smoke hasch. Lots of it. It's actually all we could find. And I seem to remember it smelled very sweet.

The smell of weed was kind of a shock when I finally got to smoke some for the first time a few years later.

Best practice is to oil your fretboard with it. Then you get to pretend like you're not deliberately taking it and after, or whilst playing your bass you are only an eye rub, or nose pick away from not shooting the Deputy.
