sjoens Posted October 1 Share Posted October 1 dxshell works great but has some odd side effects. I put it in the TTS-1 folder so VSTHost will see and load it. Since it's in the TTS-1 folder, Cakewalk/Sonar lists it twice: Does the same for Dimension LE dxi and Roland Groove Synth, only the dxshell versions load in Cakewalk with a blank GUI and no sound. VSTHost gives me a mile long list of other "dxshell.dll" with no clue what plugins they are. Not sure how it finds it's way outside the TTS-1 folder but all hosts seem to let it go wild. Would you consider revisiting that arpeggiator plugin you left unfinished? When I Audition a note (i.e. click on it) in PRV (Piano Roll View) it doesn't seem to transpose. It does play fine with a regular play (but just not with audition). I notice the same behavior with the regular Cakewalk Transpose MFX. I'm wondering if this is a known limitation of CSTranspose. I'm running version 3.0.0.1 7/22/24 415 KB. Hey Tom, Yeah, Midi from an external keyboard (or the virtual keyboard) or played from the track is routed through MidiFX, but when you click on notes in the PRV, they don't go through the MidiFX... Thanks, Tom I don't have any experience with that MFX but if you want to transpose the playback of an entire MIDI clip you can do it in the MIDI Track Inspector at the bottom where it says Key +. The transposition works when playing and auditioning notes in the PRV. You can drag the slider in half-step increments (which can be a pain in the butt) or use the Keyboard Number Pad. If you click and hold the mouse cursor in the Key + box and press the numbers on the left side of the number pad (1,4,7) it will lower the pitch of the playback in half-step increments. If you click and hold the mouse cursor in the Key + box and press the numbers on the right side of the number pad (3,6,9) it will raise the sound of the track's playback in half-step increments. Clicking and holding the mouse cursor in the Key + box and double-pressing 5 will reset the pitch to 0 (no change in pitch). It's a lot easier and simpler that I'm making it sound. The big advantage of CSTranspose is that it allows "grouping" of tracks, so that you can then easily do a Global transpose. So for me, it's a trade-off between it working in PRV, and working globally. I think that working in PRV is more important. It has a few parameters that can be assigned and controlled by CC's. It wouldn't be too difficult to add modulation to other effects. Any one in particular?
