Jelnet
When you bypass a plugin using the (host) bypass top left button, the plugin is not bypassed in the channel strip and vice versa. Furthermore when the plugin is bypassed in the host it shows orange whereas in the channel strip orange means active which is confusing. scook
The Host Bypass feature attached to the button on the left side of the standard VST header is specifically for VST3 plug-ins that support the feature. The plug-in bypass function supplied by the DAW does not depend on plug-in implementation. The state of individual plug-ins in an FX rack has no bearing on the status of the FX rack itself. FWIW, the color assignments may be modified as desired by the user.
Xoo
2 ways of bypassing a plug-in is potentially confusing. Why not do this: - If VST3 plugin has bypass as a parameter (do all of them? I'm not sure), then always use VST3 bypass in both FX bin and plugin window, and sync them - If not, or a VST2/DX plugin, then mimic the VST3 bypass button in the plugin window and have it sync with the bypass widget in the FX bin
