But it's $299 direct from Samsung: https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/870-evo-sata-2-5-ssd-4tb-mz-77e4t0b-am/ And $299 from Amazon, with delivery next week: https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-Inch-Internal-MZ-77E1T0B-AM/dp/B08QBL36GF?th=1 Edited November 16, 2022 by abacab 1 1

I've bought a few things from Amazon that way even when I could have paid for them outright, because it builds a form of "credit" for you with Amazon where they will offer you more of those payment plans for higher dollar stuff. So after successfully completing the payment plans on a couple smaller priced items they offered me five no interest monthly installments for a Canon eos m6 mark ii I wanted, which was around $1000, and I paid it off in 5 monthly installments. See if you have the same option to do that with this hard drive. I should do it because I need 4 of these and their usually $400, or $379 - $350 on sale. 1

Christian Jones Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 @abacab or anyone else, does this Samsung or Crucial 4tb drives ever get lower than $300? Sometimes I see them for a tiny bit cheaper than $400 but not $300 that I've seen. I need four of these 4tb drives for my new overbuild that I'm collecting parts for to be built maybe in 6 months. I'm wondering if I should get two of these now. I suppose though that if these 4tb drives ever did get cheaper than $300 it wouldn't be by much.

I've never bought anything larger than 2GB. Maybe someone else can chime in... I have a collection of 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB SSD drives. Edited November 16, 2022 by abacab

It looks like the prices are going down. You never know these days though, something unpredictable can happen.
Technostica Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 I have seen them closer to £250 inc tax. Right now in the UK, there are deals for 4TB PCIe drives for £300 and a bit under. Harder to incorporate four of those for most systems.
Eusebio Rufian-Zilbermann Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 For those that don't have an available sata port (or have a collection of unplugged older SSDs), this enclosure is on sale today https://www.newegg.com/orico-2139u3-bk-enclosure/p/0VN-0003-000Z5?Item=9SIA1DS4VX9128&cm_sp=Dailydeal_SS-_-9SIA1DS4VX9128-_-11162022 2
