I did some of my own shootouts. I still like IK Modo Drums the best for what I do. But these do sound better than what I have in  NI Komplete. So picked them up.

@cclarryAny guesses what 8Dio is going to discount next? They've done guitars, strings, brass and drums. I'm hoping they put the pianos on sale next. Specifically,  I'm interested in the upright piano. I like the tone of it.

You need to be careful when doing drum shootouts though - they'll have different levels of processing and room reverb. One drumkit might sound completely different with a bit of EQ, compression, and reverb.

Another aspect is workflow. Some drum plugins might have one channel per kit piece, e.g. a channel for the ride, a channel for the crash. Some might have an OH mic.
