bjornpdx Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Local Hero 2 I wrote this a few years ago and I thought it sounded pretty nice. I took one theme from the song and made a few edits on it and also used better sounding vst instruments. The piano accompaniment is a little rough maybe but I like the violin and bassoon parts. Work in progress. I'm taking a nature photography trip to Australia soon but will try to check in when I can. Thanks for listening/commenting. Larry T. Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 really nice....great choice of instruments, they really compliment each other without stepping on each others frequency toes....the individual instruments mode changes are really nice....enjoyed very much ????
Bajan Blue Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 Hi Bjorn - that violin sounds great and I really enjoyed the track enjoy Australia Nigel
Old Joad Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 Lovely, you should find a video of a ballerina and put it to your song??
Wookiee Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Chill, chill, chill, very chill, enjoy your trip I suspect it will prove an inspiration @bjornpdx
steve@baselines.com Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Great sounds! I used a trick on one of my songs that has a similar feel as this. It's like a Mobius strip. I took the piano and put it through a freeware (available online) plugin that turns the midi around like a mobius strip. Then I transposed it up an octave and wrote other string parts over it. That might work on this and surprise you. I posted the song before, but here is a link if you are interested. The first minute is the reversed piano part and then it segues into the real song. https://baselines.com/?p=6485
