Offbeat70
Hi out there, I tried to record my edrums in cakewalk, analog via micro jack the sound directly on my computer is OK. But listening to the input echo or the recording, the signal is completely distorted... What can I do??? Sound card is real tech internal on my old laptop, Driver is wasapi or associated, both same result... Thanks in advance
Byron Dickens
Step one: Use a real audio interface. Edited August 21, 2022 by bdickens
Offbeat70
I know, but this is again one more item to connect. I got a sapphire 6 usb interface, but I only use it as a midi interface to my roland td4... So I managed to use the interface, but still I'm wondering why that didn't work without... And that is why I love acoustic drums, not even plug and play... just play ;)?
Byron Dickens
Probably sample rate mismatches. Besides the fact that you can't get decent sound running into the 1/8-in plug on your onboard sound chip. Can't do it. No how. No way. Ain't going to happen. Use your interface with Focusrite's ASIO driver and save yourself innumerable headaches. Edited August 21, 2022 by bdickens
scook
May need to use WASAPI Exclusive driver mode with RealTek to adjust the Mixing Latency Buffer Size. This may help with distortion.
