VeryCompact
Hi! I installed Cakewalk successfully but then my AV/Malware Detector presented me with a message "CakewalkSetup.exe - MalwareGenericML" and quarantined it.
Lord Tim
I just did a scan on it on VirusTotal.com and only 1 out of 70 vendors flagged it, and even then it was listed as a 'Generic Potentially Unwanted Application', which isn't actually malware, but it's been somehow been flagged to this vendor as bundled crapware. I'd call this a false positive from your AV.
user 905133
Quote CakewalkSetup.exe I don't have this file on my PC. UPDATE: For the "fun" of it, I tried the most recent update I have and the most recent rollback I have using VT. No red flags. Evidently some AV software couldn't handle the files, though. CakewalkSetup.exe is the newish CbB installer. The partial replacement for BandLab Assistant.
